Credit Card Security, Offline Ordering

Ordering online by credit card

All our publications (paper and electronic) can be ordered online by credit card via our publications store. Electronic publications ordered through the online store can be accessed immediately.

Our secure server is Verisign-certified. (The Verisign certificate is registered under the domain name of the company that owns the server and hosts our site, rather than under hcinfo.com, so you might get a warning message that the certificate name and domain name do not match.) Verisign is a highly regarded Certificate Authority. A Certificate Authority is a trusted third party similar to a passport office or a Certified Public Accountant. Certificate Authorities must follow rigorous procedures for authenticating the individuals and organizations to whom they issue certificates. All digital certificates are "signed" with the Certificate Authority's private key to ensure authenticity. The relatively small size of our site probably makes it even more safe. Web site sabotage is rare, but it is especially rare for smaller sites. Hackers generally prefer major online retail sites and government sites, where they can do more damage and get more attention. 

Ordering offline

Still prefer to order by telephone or fax? Or does your institution require ordering by check or purchase order? You can order by telephone, fax, or the postal service and pay offline by check or credit card (Visa, MC, Amex, or Discover).

For paper publications, include shipping of $6 to the USA or Canada, or $12 to all other countries (total per order, any quantity).
